Hera provides a turnkey solution for CNC programming, machine fixturing and complex 5-axis machining of flight hardware.
METALLICS

All heat-treated aircraft alloys

Used within many of the aircraft systems for mechanical actuators, fittings engine components and other Aircraft systems. other Aircraft systems. Hera understands the reaction materials experience when machining heat-treated materials thus our engineering takes into account feeds, speed, cutter wear and machine approach to control our customers extremely tight tolerance requirements.

Inconel alloys

Used for many aircraft spindles, bearings, mechanical fasteners and other Aircraft systems. Hera understands Cutter technology and engineered machine process is key to successfully machine these materials and control physical changes incurred post heat treat, final grind and NDT to meet customer design specifications.

Titanium

Used in many new aircraft as a lightweight, high-strength, heat resistant solutions for structure fittings, Engine components, Propulsion hardware and other Aircraft system components. Hera has seasoned machine operators who understand the nuances of machining complex titanium flight hardware with fixturing and machine processes used to minimize part distortion.

Stainless Steel

Used in areas where corrosive properties are a risk to the Aircraft such as hydraulic fittings, pneumatic fittings, vectoring Balls and other Aircraft systems components. Hera specializes in tool use and cutter wear to efficiently machine stainless steel while minimizing part distortion commonly found with this material.

Aluminum

Used for lightweight structures, Aircraft Skins, formed leadings and trailing edge wing, strut and aileron components. Multiple 5 axis machines, lathes and high-speed mills used to produce the most complex flight parts.

Aluminum Honeycomb Core

Used as a structural lightweight filler between outer and inner control surfaces. Hera has the high-speed machining solution for all honeycomb core design configurations. Hera offers the latest in core cutting using 5-axis routing, 5-axis milling, Ultrasonic knife cutting and laser cutting.

Hera provides a turnkey 6500 sq ft Environmental CL 8 Clean Room with highly trained composite technicians and assemblers to manufacture the toughest of composite flight components.

Used in areas of aircraft thermal protection. Hera provides laminating, curing and machine manufacturing services to meet customer spec designs.

Composite honeycomb core

Used as a lightweight filler for many of the latest aircraft flight structures, wings, ailerons, vertical stabilizers and other Aircraft systems. Hera provides a turnkey service for honeycomb parts manufacturing. We supply machined core kitting, core splicing, core bonding along with complete manufactured Flight structures and components.

Bonded composite assemblies

Used for many of the latest aircraft flight structures, wings, ailerons, vertical stabilizers and other Aircraft systems. Hera has dedicated epoxy and isolated silicone bonding rooms used in conjunction with our vertical integrated manufacturing facility to offer a turnkey service for the most difficult bonded assemblies.
