Aerospace-grade Materials Used in Thermal Protection Systems

CORK

An organic product line that is lightweight and acts as an ablative heat shield. Hera Technologies has mastered the art of machining cork in controlled environments to prevent contamination and manages the stabilization of cork internally, because of its tendency to expand or shrink in open air.

ALL METALS

Used primarily for structural components of rockets, metallic parts are insulated using various TPS techniques. Hera Technologies uses advanced three and five-axis equipment for intricate machining of all metallic components used in rocket structures including Titanium, Inconels, 4000 series aircraft alloys, Aluminum, and other exotic metals.

Composites

Hera Technologies specializes in handling and machining layered glass composites, focusing on contamination control, preventing stress cracks and ensuring material integrity.

FOAM
